JARAとは
JARA = Japan Animal Rights Alliance
The JARA Project is now underway to realize the desire to create safe and secure pet food for disaster prevention,
which will be appreciated by both pet dogs and their owners.
We provide commercially available pet food in retort pouches that have undergone pressurized thermal sterilization,
a long-term preservation technology developed by GDAC through 20 years of research and development.
We deliver these products to you in compliance with human grade safety standards.
Reason Why
The impetus for development
- 1 The shocking news that 4,000 dogs died of starvation in Fukushima alone (in the former hazard zone) following the Great East Japan Earthquake
- 2The desire to prevent pet dogs from suffering in the event of an emergency
We are committed to maintaining human grade safety standards. Now that people are being asked to take their dogs with them when evacuating, we would like for all pet owners to consider this. A handful of food in an evacuation bag will save your dog’s life.
We wondered whether the long-term preservation technologies researched and developed for humans could be applied to pet food as well. This was the impetus for a project that only GDAC, a company with many dog-lovers, could launch.
Together with fellow pet lovers in the disaster-prone country of Japan, JARA is launching a project to save pets’ lives.
